The Stewardship Committee focuses on Holy Innocents’ parishioners’ gifts of time, talent, and treasure and thus, provide for God’s work in the community of Sandy Springs, Atlanta, Mississippi, Haiti, Mexico, and beyond.
The Committee works with the Clergy and the Vestry to help ensure that Holy Innocents’ mission can be achieved via the ministry and service of parishioners as well as the funding to support Outreach, HIEC Youth, Christian Formation, Community Life, Communications, Pastoral Care, and Liturgy and Music.
Priority initiatives for 2008 that came out of the strategic planning process:
• Enhance programs for children and youth to make them more meaningful in shaping their lives.
• Strengthen programs for making newcomers feel welcome and become involved in church life.
• Create opportunities for parishioners to deepen their relationships with each other through small groups.
• Increase the number of members involved in outreach.
• Address the unique physical and spiritual needs of our Senior parishioners, especially transportation.
• Expand and improve the quality of church facilities.
