Christmas Letter from the Wardens

Christmas Letter from the Wardens

Dear Friends at Holy Innocents',

Thank you for entrusting us with the roles of Wardens of Holy Innocents' and we wish you and your family a Merry, Merry Christmas.

1872! That is when our wonderful community of faith got its start. Since then, families, the children of those families, and their children, in turn, and many individuals have found this to be a welcoming and rewarding community of worship. Our immediate predecessors, Elaine Morgan and Marie Thomas have served as models in nurturing this tradition of faith.

We are truly honored that this community has asked us to serve as lay leaders. As we do so, we will listen well, follow as much as we lead, and, most important, love this community, its members, and those it serves. Together with the vestry and our clergy, we will seek: to call a new Rector, to grow our membership numbers, to be stewards of each and every dollar of resources, and to think broadly about the short-, medium-, and long-term interests of our church. Please partner with us as we pursue those missions.

Most importantly, we wish you and your family a splendid, rewarding, and reflective Christmas season. We hope that you each get time to pause and reflect on God's many graces in all of our lives.

With gratitude and faith,
Jay and Bill

P.S. We hope to see you at a Christmas service and at the retreat at Amicolola Falls on Feb. 9-11.
