The Holy Innocents' Legacy Circle
The Legacy Circle is the formal name of recognition extended to those parishioners who have made a gift or made provisions for a bequest to the Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church Endowment. Our parish exists because of the generosity of previous generations. To ensure the future vitality of the parish, the Vestry adopted a resolution in September 2001 formally establishing an endowment
Resolutions
The Endowment has a board of trustees, which reports directly to the Senior Warden of the Vestry. This group meets quarterly to monitor financial results from the portfolio. There is an investment committee which manages this portfolio according to a set of investment guidelines. Annually, the board applies the spending policy and reports the amount that is available to spend that year to support programs at Holy Innocents'. The Vestry then decides how it is spent.
One key responsibility of the Endowment Board is to increase the level of participation in the Endowment. To that end, a resource group, headed by Frank Bishop, is available to assist parishioners in various aspects of estate planning and creative planned giving.
