The Jacob Saga:
A new fall class led by The Rev. Buddy Crawford, Hayley Kelly and Hannah Kelly will explore one of the great mythic stories of the Hebrew patriarchs – Jacob. The third in the line of Abraham and Isaac, Jacob becomes the father of the twelve tribes of Israel. We will use the biblical narrative from Genesis along with the novel by Frederick Buechner, The Son of Laughter. Buechner uses midrash, a rabbinic interpretive tool, to dig deeply into the biblical text to study and understand its meaning. No class on 9/6! Join their Zoom class by clicking HERE
