Education for Ministry is a program for lay persons who want to explore deeply the development of a personal theology within the structure of the Episcopal tradition.

Administered by the School of Theology at Sewanee, EFM brings a group of people together to study, share, and pray our faith together in an intimate, small group.

Over a four year cycle, Biblical texts, church history, and theology are read and discussed in a community of prayerful support. We also develop, through theological reflection, a way to provide structure and meaning to our daily life stories. EFM meets at Holy Innocents’ on Wednesday evenings during the academic year from 6:45 till 8:45. Our group would love to invite you to join us on the journey this fall. Our class will begin on September 5.
