As noted in the history of the parish, the original site of Holy Innocents was located in what is now downtown Atlanta . When the parish moved to the suburbs in 1954, the first building on the current site was the original Church. Therefore the present facilities of the parish are relatively new. As the parish grew the need for more space overflowed. Holy Innocents' Episcopal School developed and has expanded to almost 35 acres. The Church and its administrative offices are located at the southwest corner of the property. Several renovations and additions have taken place over the years to accommodate the clergy and staff and meeting and office space.
The Church was built in 1962 and was recently renovated in 1998. The Church, which seats 500, is open to the public every day from 7 am – 10:30 p.m. The administrative offices of the clergy and staff are connected to the Church. This facility also houses a large Music Room and Bride's Room. The Church offices are located just off the Rainbow Lobby. Office hours are 8:30 am – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Parish Hall (the first Church – built in 1956-57) houses a large meeting room, a kitchen, four classrooms, a nursery and two offices. Due to the shortage of space in both the Church and School this building is shared and used extensively.
The Hearth Room, built in 1982, is the most popular meeting spot on the campus. This warm and inviting space is the scene of numerous communal gatherings and meetings. A beautiful fireplace is the center focus of the room. This wonderful space is also equipped with a kitchen.
The Youth Pavilion is the most recent addition to the Church facility. Built in 2000 this beautifully decorated space is a place for our young people to gather educationally and socially.
Parking is available in the lot adjacent to Mt. Vernon Highway . Additional parking is also available in the Fine Arts lot that may be accessed on Powers Ferry Road .
