Reel to Real: Films that Call us to Justice with Michael Sullivan and Joshua Case. Sometimes a film asks us to see things we do not see in ordinary life, things that are very real and that control us but that have become so ordinary their moral dimensions escape us. In this class, we will watch extended clips from the best of classic movies, opening ourselves to ask what we fail to see in ordinary life . . . . what needs to become more real so that we might claim God’s power to transform us and the world in which we live.
Imago Dei- Finding the Image of God in the Sacrament of Confirmation. Beginning April 3rd and continuing each Wednesday through May 15th, adults interested in being confirmed, received or reaffirmed in the Episcopal Church are invited to attend this informative and often entertaining class. Classes will explore the Anglican way of scripture, tradition, reason, and look at the history of the church, the Book of Common Prayer, and the sacraments. This is an informal class where all questions are welcome and encouraged. If interested please let any clergy know, by email or phone. leads this class and may be joined by other clergy and friends.
