Women's Groups
Women's Convocation
Lisa Shunnarah
The goal of these semi annual events is for HIEC women of all ages to spend an evening together in fellowship.
Wisdom Circle
Women's Wisdom Circle meets on Monday mornings (except for holidays). Coffee – 8:30; Gathering – 8:45-9:45 a.m. Start your week with authentic, in depth conversation in the light of wisdom sayings from throughout the ages. Anne Moore and Martha Sterne invite you to share the questions, challenges and thanksgiving of our lives. The Wisdom Circle is open; so come as it fits your schedule and bring a friend.
Reading Connections (Women’s Book Club)
Have you ever read a book and then ask others if they have read it because you wanted to hear their thoughts and opinions? Come join us on the second Monday of each month from 6:00 to 7:30 pm to share our impressions of the book, ask questions, provoke new ideas about relationships, humor, opportunities, the world, and our own aspirations.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Prayer shawls are made to give comfort to those in need: those undergoing medical procedures, times of stress or loss, or those experiencing any rites of passage that are a part of life. Open to all, the Prayer Shawl ministry offers a chance for service to others as well as a time for socializing. Meeting Time: 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM.
Women’s Bible Study
Encounter the gospel for the upcoming Sunday with other women using Lectio Divina. Thursdays, 9-10am.
St. Anne’s Chapter
We are a group of senior women. We enjoy fellowship, lunch and often an interesting speaker. We welcome other senior women to join us. This chapter meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 10:30 a.m., usually at the church. Members bring a sandwich for lunch. A meeting and program follow.
St. Monica’s Chapter
This chapter meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. in members’ homes. A coffee hour precedes the meeting and program.
St. Martha’s Chapter
St. Martha's Guild of the ECW is a social and service organization that supports parish-wide family and women's activities. The group has sponsored the women's retreat, Easter egg hunts, a family summer book club, and the parish picnic. Social dinners are scheduled in the fall and spring. The group meets on the fourth Friday of each month at 11:00 a.m.
