Annual Stewardship
Dear members and friends,
Every year Holy Innocents’ asks each of us to pledge or provide an estimate of giving for the mission and ministry of the church in the coming calendar year.
We have much to be thankful for as a congregation. There are new faces in our midst, seriousness about personal spiritual formation and growth, new opportunities to study and deepen our faith, and the excitement of watching new facilities spring forth around us. Our lives continue to be made richer by our children and youth who bring to us their own gifts and spiritual wisdom. We continue to reach out to our community and we find new energies to consider other possibilities for service and witness.
So, as a community of God’s people, we have much for which we give thanks. We are truly “embracing our faith” in important ways. As each of us thinks about God’s generosity and grace through our involvement here at Holy Innocents’, the list of our thanksgivings gets longer.
One of the ways we express our gratitude to God and embrace our faith is by returning to God a portion of the material gifts entrusted to our care. We, as members of the 2012 Stewardship Committee, invite you to consider how your gifts can help the mission and ministry of Holy Innocents’ this coming year as together we “grow our gifts” out of our own gratitude to God.
Through this website, through materials you will receive in the mail, and through sermons and a series of video clips, you will read and hear what it means for us to “embrace our faith and grow our gifts.” In the days ahead, we invite you to reflect on what your gratitude might move you to share from the material things you hold in trust for the Creator of all. We will gather on All Saints’ Sunday to celebrate our gifts.
Your Stewardship Committee is committed to doing all we can to share the exciting stories of mission and ministry at Holy Innocents’, and we invite you to study these materials as you pray and reflect on your pledge this year.
With grateful hearts,
The 2012 Stewardship Committee
