The CAC, founded by 20 local congregations, is located at 1130 Hightower Trail in Sandy Springs. The center is a service responding to the ever- growing demands for social services for Sandy Springs residents. Referrals for other services to qualifying families are available. Food and clothing are available at the center on weekdays. The pantry, apparel shop and Holiday Shop are staffed and stocked by volunteers. Due to the influx of immigrants, the center has increased its various needs. The shop is open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. during the week. Annual fundraising events include a silent auction, thrift clothing sale, and flea market, as well as food, toy and clothing drives. Many weekly volunteer opportunities include office assistance and helping clients select pantry and clothing items.
