The Parish Survey results revealed that the majority of parishioners want to see collaborative planning between laity and clergy / staff in the following areas:

Children and Youth Programs (86% of respondents)
Outreach (82%)
Parish Life (80%)
Stewardship (76%)
Christian Education (75%)
Financial Oversight (67%)
Liturgy and Music (65%)
Calling Clergy (63%)
Pastoral Care (52%)

In addition, the survey respondents identified the following critical abilities they wish to see in a new Rector:

  1. Inspiring Preaching (46% of respondents marked this as the most important ability)
  2. Relevant Teaching
  3. Empathetic Pastoral Care

Strategic Vision, Administrative and Financial Acumen, and a Track Record of Parish Growth were highlighted as the next most essential strengths.

The editing process of the profile continues, with graphic design being the next step once the text is finalized. The profile will then be sent on to the vestry and then the bishop for approval.
