Sunday Worship Schedule - Join us in the Parish Hall!
8:00 Holy Eucharist, Rite II
• A simple, said service with a shorter homily; for those who like a contemplative beginning to the day.
9:00 Holy Eucharist, Rite II
• The largest of our Sunday services, this liturgy appeals to many families, especially those with children.
• Because of facility constraints during construction, this service must last less than 60 minutes. Some of the additions or changes to make that possible include:
- shorter Entrance Rite
- Dramatic Reading of the Lesson on most Sundays
- fewer lessons
- sermon by me most weeks with children gathered around
- children and adults in choir
- shortened Recessional (moving from Communion, to Prayer, to Dismissal; more writing about this later – the Book of Common Prayer actually assumes this pattern as the norm!)
11:15 Holy Eucharist, Rite II
• The “highest” liturgy or our Sunday, mostly sung
• Full adult choir featuring the best of the Anglican musical tradition
• Incense on High Holy Days
6:00 Celtic Eucharist
• A contemplative liturgy with words from the ancient and modern communities of Iona, Lindisfarne, and Southwestern Ireland
• Instrumental music
• Contemplative sermon
• Experiential prayers
During the week, we will still offer weekday Eucharists according to this schedule:
• Tuesdays, 12:15 PM, Office workroom
• Wednesdays, 7:30 AM, Room 109
• Wednesdays, 10:30 AM, Mount Vernon Towers (note new location starting in September)
