Sunday News

Weekly

We look forward to sharing the good news with our community at large every Sunday! HI offers three in-person worship services (8 AM, 10:15 AM, and 6 PM) as well as a 5 PM service for Spanish speakers led by our friend the Rev. Antonio Brito. There is also the option of streaming our 10:15 AM worship service on either Facebook or Youtube. Look below for all Sunday related news and announcements!

HIEC 150 ANNIVERSARY- SUNDAY PREACHER SERIES

As we celebrate our 150th anniversary in 2022, thanks to a generous gift from Susan and Dan Faulk in honor of their grandchildren, we will welcome clergy from throughout our history to preach this year. This Sunday, January 23, we will welcome the Rev. Martha Sterne as our first preacher. She will be present to preach at the 10:15 AM service and chat afterwards. Join us in welcoming Martha back to HI!

SUNDAY WORSHIP @ HIEC

Join us every Sunday for our scheduled worship services (8 AM, 10:15 AM & 6 PM). We also stream live on FACEBOOK and YOUTUBE at 10:15 AM! If you would prefer to watch the service from home, subscribe to our newsletter and get our weekly emails by clicking HERE

SUNDAY SERMON

Our staff of clergy work throughout the week to create their Sunday sermon reflections. Their voices are varied and full of wisdom from the Bible that is worth a second listen during the week. Check out the latest sermon from our seminarian Trey Davis above or listen to it over the phone, anytime and anywhere, by calling 404-321-3037.

ADULT FORMATION IS BACK

Join us for the return of adult formation this Sunday! As a church, we are celebrating our 150th anniversary in 2022- our sesquicentennial. For the last year, we have been researching and writing a history of our community. You're invited to class (9 AM in Inglett Hall or online via Zoom) to talk about some of the history we have discovered. Learn more by clicking HERE

JOIN US FOR OUR ANNUAL MEETING

Our parish's Annual Meeting will be on Sunday, January 30 during the formation hour. Come early to grab a little breakfast (Community of Hope is hosting on the 30th) and join us in Inglett Hall at 9 AM. Don't forget to read this year's nominee bios by clicking HERE
